How To Make Money Fast Around Your Neighborhood

You might not think of it, but if you were to go around your neighborhood, you would see many ways how to make money fast. A lot of people walk through their city or town, and never realize how many ways they would make some extra money. In this post I’ll give you a few ideas.

Recycling is a big thing. For many years we’ve been trying to reduce the amount of waste we put in the landfills. If you live in a state that has deposits on soda bottles and/or cans, You can spend just one hour a week, with other family members to help, collecting cans and bottles. You’ll be surprised on how much money you could make in one day. I knew someone a few years back that did this (more than one hour a week) and within seven months his family collected enough money to go to Disney World… for a week!!

Another way how to make money fast in your neighborhood is to ask your neighbors if they have any work that they need done. You’re bound to find at least two people who have jobs the need to be done, but for one reason or another they’re not able to do it themselves. If you have senior citizens living in your area, ask them if they need the yard work done. If you know of a working family that doesn’t have time to take care of their pool or walk their dog, ask if they could use some help. You’ll be amazed how many people need things done, but don’t know who to ask. get yourself out there and ask! If you’re good at doing handy work, make up some flyers and spend the day putting them around your neighborhood. You could cover an wide area within a reasonable amount of time.

If you live in an area where it snows, you can go out and shovel snow for a few hours. Believe me, there are many people who do not want to shovel their own walkway. I spent many winters making extra cash shoveling snow. I made pretty decent money doing it also. Walk around with your shovel and ask people right then. If they see you with the shovel in your hand, they’re more likely to say yes.

Another thing you can do for quick cash is sell some items. What do you have that’s valuable, but can part with? Visit your local pawn shop or consignment store and ask what’s been selling. That way you can get an idea of items you may already have.
