Seasonal Work-Landscaping
There is always an opportunity to earn extra money during the change in seasons. In the summer one can earn extra money by cutting lawns of neighbors. Depending on the size of the property, an average lawn cut is $20 to $25 dollars. In the fall one can earn quick money by raking leaves, and clearing beds. In the winter one can earn quick money by shoveling snow.

Host a Yard Sale
One person’s junk is another person’s treasure. You have probably accumulated a lot of material items you no longer use or need. Toys, clothes, board games, furniture, video games, books, and appliances all can be sold quickly. Send out a flyer and/or coordinate a yard sale with neighbors. All you need are some tables and good weather. You could probably make a few hundred dollars without much effort.

Delivery Person
If you have a car, you can probably get a job delivering newspapers, flowers, or food from pizza/sandwich shops. These jobs are plentiful, and the tips are usually good. Look in your local newspaper or go to your local shopping center to see if these jobs are available.

Caregiver
This job is a quick way to earn money. For children, you may not have to leave your house. One can earn money watching kids after school until dinner time. Parents would rather have a trusted individual watch their child in a home setting, than paying for after school care. If you are watching an adult, you may need a car to go to their residence. In addition, you may be required to pick up prescriptions or food as part of your job responsibilities.

Everyone has plenty of stuff lying around that they do not use or want anymore. Rather than throw it away or let it build up, why not sell it to someone who can use it and make some extra money? The key is to have the sale on a weekend. This will maximize the amount of people who can visit the yard sale and therefore maximize profits.

A year ago my whole neighborhood had a community yard sale. It was such a lovely day out and the community-wide sale not only made everyone money but also provided such a nice and friendly environment. By the end of the day I had not only made over three hundred dollars, but I had gotten rid of two of my old couches, one old desk, and a bunch of other trinkets. There are hundreds of different companies offering to pay the average person to complete various surveys and questionnaires. Usually, they use these surveys as market research to design new products and to see what certain demographic groups think about their existing products and services.

Obviously, you will need a computer to access the majority of these paid survey opportunities, but aside from that you won’t need any special skills or equipment. Your biggest investment will be your time. Most of the online surveys will take you between 2 and 10 minutes to complete, so if you put aside a couple of hours every couple of days you can probably earn a nice little bonus to cover your holiday shopping.

There are hundreds of different survey companies on the internet that pay cash. You will find a number of websites offering to give you a list of survey companies for free, while other sites will provide you with a better list for a small charge – usually a small amount like $30 or so.

My experience is you get what you pay for, and spending a small amount of money up front can end up saving you a lot of time, and you can start earning money sooner. In many cases the list of survey companies that cost a small amount also provide better quality survey sites. The better survey companies usually pay better and offer more frequent surveys. That’s right a day laborer. When you hear the term day laborer, you probably think of the illegal immigrants that you see on the corner standing around in groups waiting for someone to come by to offer them day wages for some some work that needs to be done.

Believe it or not, it’s pretty profitable for these guys who do that. If you’re the type of person who is willing to do manual labor to make some extra money then this might be the thing for you.

When I finished high school and started working full time, I wasn’t making a lot of money. Sometimes it may be just to help clean put the garage or gut out an apartment that needs to have new sheetrock put in. Depending on the job and the time involved you can make a good day’s pay.
